This Wednesday the 5th is DOLLAR DRESS DOWN DAY! This is to help buy materials for our classroom so please help support it. 
January 17th Martin Luther King Day no school
The 100th day is coming up on January 24th we are very excited and hope everyone will be there!!!!!
Students who are sent to R room will take home a letter to the parent that needs to be signed and returned the next day. This is to inform you that they were in responsibility room. If it is not returned the next day the student will have after school detention the following day.

Announcements

Our Holiday performance will be held on December 16th at 1:45. We are singing “Noel Nouvelet.” The Holiday gift shop is open from Dec.13-17th.  
Cookies with Santa December 14th from 6-8
There is a half day on Friday the 17th and no after school.   
Christmas break is Dec. 18th-Jan.2nd   Hope you all have a great break!!!    Reports cards go home Friday!!!!!   

 
Donations: We are in need of staples! Please donate any change to help LPA families in need for Christmas. There is a jar in the front office. Thank you!

Announcements and Spelling List

Operation La Paloma Hereos is going on right now! It is Lakeside students and families helping others in our school and community during the holiday season. There are two ways you can help:                                                   1. Pick an ornament off one of the HERO TREES in the front office and buy the gift listed on it. Directions are posted by the tree.                                   2. Send coins to fill up our “COINS OF CARING CONTAINER” in the front office. This money will be used to buy grocery store gift cards for holiday meals.

Announcements and Spelling List

This week we only have school Monday and Tuesday! Hope you all have a wonderful and safe Thanksgiving. Our 3rd grade class is going to the ZOO tomorrow from 9-1p.m. we are going to have lots of fun! Students have been researching animals for the zoo so ask your child what animal they have! Please supply your child with a lunch for the field trip we will not be able to attend the Thanksgiving feast on Tuesday.
No school this Wednesday, Thur. and Friday that means no spelling words this week.         
Thank you to: Wyatt for bringing in rolls for our Thanksgiving feast, Aixa’s dad for fixing our pencil sharpener and Michele for donating books to our class.

Join us for Mexican Fiesta Friday, November 19th. It is from 6-8p.m. We will have mariachi, student and staff LPA performers. It is $5.00 for a plate of yummy Mexican food!
Skate Country is on Tuesday, Nov. 16th it is 80’s night, hope to see you there! Also, our 3rd grade class is going on a field trip Tuesday, November 23rd to REID PARK ZOO! We have many volunteers thank you to those of you who are able to help our class!

I hope you all had a happy and safe HALLOWEEN! I want to thank all the parent volunteers, and the parents who donated cupcakes, candy and prizes to our HARVEST FEST! The harvest festival turned out great and everyone had a blast. Our class had 25lbs. of candy which is a lot!!!!
Thank you to Mr. Cornejo who talked to the class about fire safety last Friday, the students really enjoyed it!
